Native Woodland Scheme open for businessThe native woodland scheme is open for applications. It funds the establishment of new woodlands and the enhancement of existing native woodland sites. There is now a facility for the retention and development of emerging woodland which has begun to grow. Contact woodlands of Ireland or your local forester for further information.

There was a Native woodland scheme training course held on the 6th and 7th of October in Enniskerry, Co. Wicklow. The event was a huge success with relevant state agencies, woodland contractors, local authority staff participants coming together to learn appropriate techniques for the expansion and protection of our native woodland resource.
